| Come Sail Away With Me.............. My work is about edges. The edge is where everything in life takes place, at least for me it is. Edges are in transition and given much power by being sharp. Center marks are confined into relationships, not so with edges. Subsequently, my edges are often thin and fragile, like life itself. Need I say more. Break an edge, and you alter everything. Why are they so thin? I pull them until they rip and tear and won't pull anymore, a recipient of change. I want them to break. They are mine, I can alter them. Edges are exhilarating. The strength of my inspiration includes the elements of nature. My objective is to maximize the fragile human spirit. Yes, life is fragile! My "Vessels of Spirits" hold whatever you want-dreams, hopes, aspirations, food, candy...you get the idea. I use the element of fire to transform these vessels and many have been fired ten times or more. This artistic adventure empowers my spirit and one's spirit reflects their own life energy. "An empty vessel makes the loudest sound." Plato 427-BC-347 BC |
